Brit Floyd blog - Bobby HarrisonHi everyone,

As you've probably realised, it's been a while since I last wrote a blog, so I figured I'd put pen to paper (or finger to iPad) and bring you up to speed with the latest news.

Production rehearsals began a couple of weeks ago in our beloved Johnstown, Pennsylvania, kicking off our 2015 "Space And Time" tour. Incidentally, by the time you read this, we will be at least 15 shows into our 101-date North American leg.

North America wasn't the only continent to get a Floyd fix over the past few weeks. Our tour technically started in South America, taking in Buenos Aires and São Paulo. We then flew up to Mexico City for a third date before entering the USA. Argentina, Brazil and Mexico are all new territories for Brit Floyd and the crowds were phenomenal. We played last year's Discovery set, since we felt we should treat a new audience to a very polished, tried and tested show. It was a great way to close last year's set before rehearsing this year's material.

Brit Floyd - Rob StringerWith around three weeks to go before our big Red Rocks show, I thought I'd fill you in on our upcoming USA trip. We have had some time at home to charge the batteries after our recent mammoth 65 show North America tour, and we are raring to go again.

Everyone in the band and crew are buzzing about this summer run of shows - really excited.

We have been invited to play the California Mid State Fair on July 25th, joining a bill featuring Huey Lewis and the News, John Mayer and Van Halen. We will be arriving in Paso Robles in time to see David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen in action, and Bobby and myself in particular are big fans of the band so we are looking forward to that. I might as well JUMP!

Next up we travel across to Las Vegas for a performance at the luxurious Mandalay Bay Resort. We are performing on the 'Beach' stage where the audience can actually stand in the pool all around the stage to watch the show, so there will be hopefully be some time for a swim and some sunshine there.

After that we are back in beautiful Aspen Colorado at the very cool Belly Up club, which we played last year too. It's a funky little club, pretty intimate and different to our normal type of show, and the setting is wonderful with the Aspen mountains in the background. Aspen is 8,000 ft above sea level so you find yourself quite short of breath sometimes...

Brit Floyd - Rick BenbowHello to everyone!

We're just coming to the end of our UK tour and before we break for the summer and take a deep breath before our biggest European tour so far, I thought I'd tell you a little about Keyboard World.

It's that place at the back of the stage far-right that you can glimpse between three or four stunning choreographed songsters. It's the place our treasured saxophonist passes behind with barely a backwards glance as he skips to work to make Money. It's the place furthest from Arrantown and Bobsville, but thankfully well connected by earnest glances and enthusiastic grins during the most energetic songs. It's the place that will occasionally get serious attention from Director Damian should a stray squeak or rumble escape the regular soundscape. And it's such a lonely place the only person who ever visits is Ian who likes to pop over for tea in the synth solo during Run Like Hell, but he NEVER takes his coat off...
