TOPIC: Birmingham NIA

Birmingham NIA 1 year ago #1931

What an absolutely superb show at the Birmingham NIA last night. It was the first time I had seen Brit Floyd in concert and I have to say that it was outstanding. I saw Pink Floyd many times over the years and have also seen other tribute bands before BF. If I say that there were moments when it was easy to forget that what I was hearing was not the original, it will tell you how good it was. This is the best tribute band to the boys there is.

However, nothing is perfect and I do have a couple of slight criticisms. I thought that the Roger Waters 'Wall' section was self indulgent (a bit like the man himself!)and lost the band the momentum that had been built up previously. Also,I was really surprised to find Eclipse missing - a staple diet for tributes to Pink Floyd and one guaranteed to get the audience rocking.

Overall,a brilliant show from all concerned. Good luck with the rest of the tour and I look forward to seeeing the band again at the next opportunity.

Took a friend along to see the show who pretty much shut off at the thought of going to see a tribute band. However he has now bought tickets to go and see them again with three mates. I have been a PF fan since the age of 12 and have seen a great deal of live shows and this is right up there with the best.
Fantastic band with a light show and sound to match.
Couldn,t fault it and I didn't mind what they played as it is just such a great evenings entertainment.
Just got some more tickets to see them at Bristol.
