Anyone planning on a trip to the 'Centre of the Earth' - Leicester on 1st February ?

I know that Jamie (The lego Video boy) is hoping for a trip to proper CRS gig. This is a nice place for that. The venue is small enough to be pretty intimate, but big enough to stretch your legs and get a coke at break.

Parking is adequate and very close - I have never had a problem getting really close by.

Hope to see freinds down there on the 1st. Wear a flower in your hair !

Classic Rock Show tickets purchased!!!!! Taking a big group from work.

Tried to add a pic with my son holding them all, but don't know how to add a picture.

They are at The Jolly Tar, Wardle, Cheshire - this is a brilliant venue for an intimate gig, it is so intimate that the front row is about 1 foot from the group, you are practically on the stage.

Cannot wait until January 2013

What a fantastic evening. A sold out venue, a packed out room, a tremendously apreciative audience and a stage (and surrounding areas) full of talented people.

I took a few sections of video to 'Snap' a few photos from, as I did not expect my camera to stop humming with the volume of the PA. After only a couple of hours sleep though and on first hearing I am pleasantly supprised. I will have to do a days work an when I get home spend a few moments editing to post here later.

Back to tightness on stage.... When bobby lubed up his strings, it involved Emily, and when Damian wanted his Bass tuning, Howie G did it for him. Pictures and maybe videos will tell all later.

Met some nice folk there too last night....
We met Jamie, the youngest Brit Floyd fan ever to be allowed over the watershed (Sporting a BF Tee shirt, a BF program, DVD and a full set of meet and greets with the band) and even folk from Derby that we kinda knew.

I think that some of the locals were supprised at the scale of the band too, having only seen the Acoustic Unlimited version of the this family on stage. Loads of praise was heard being passed on from the music lovers to members of the band afterwards.

Have a good gig tonight at Kilworth chaps. Lets hope the rain stops for you.

The Classic Rock Show has two scheduled summer dates. On 31 July they will be playing The Kilworth House Theatre, a purpose built venue in a beautiful wooded glade close to the lake in the grounds of Kilworth House Hotel, Leicestershire. The day before they will be taking the roof off The Jolly Tar, Nantwich in a special warm up gig.

I'm surprised that no one has started a discussion about a Led Zep tribute. GTLO mainly plays the East coast and I'm not going to spend a lot of time describing them. The shows are unbelievable because like the Brits and Aussies, these guys play the songs like the record. No wigs or costumes just the music. What makes this band sound incredible is there are always 2 guitar player on every song sometimes 3(the keyboard player). The vocals are very good and they guys come on stage Marshall stacks and all and put on a great show. If you are a Zep fan you will not be disappointed. Like our favorite 2 Pink Floyd tributes, I look forward to GTLO every year. PS they play loud as balls so it's great!

I know there are one or two Fish-era Marillion fans lurking around the forum so this may be of interest.

On 13th May 2012, Still Marillion will be performing the whole of Misplaced Childhood AND Clutching At Straws albums at the Robin 2, Bilston. Having previously seen and heard the lead vocalist performing Marillion material, I wouldn't have any qualms about going to this show.

Hi I'm new to the forum I live in North Wales(well someone has to) I've always been a prog rock fan never saw Floyd to my lasting regret but did see Yes and Genesis in their glory years (early to mid seventies)My main question is are there any good Yes tribute bands around as good as Brit Floyd?
