I've watched the concert DVD more than a hundred times and never really thought about the choreography involved with the back-up singers until I saw them live. I was amazed to see how active they were during the 2-1/2 hour plus show that I attended. I would be interested to know how much choreography preparation time the ladies have to go through to get ready for a Brit Floyd show. Is the choreography something that is put together in a week or two and evolves as the tour progresses, or do they practice for months. Is one person responsible for choreographing the show or is it a colaberative effort?]]>

The girls who sang were awesome, and the light show was cool. Keep up the great work and hope to see the band back in little rock soon.]]>

I've been to a lot of concerts in the 59 years that I have been on this planet and Tueday's show was one of the best that I have seen. 1. What type music do you play during sound checks?

2. What is a typical day of a show like (schedule, etc.)?

3. When you take an intermission, do you guys go back to the bus or what do you do?

4. After the show and autographs, how easy is to decompress? How soon after a show are you back on the bus heading to the next town?

5. I'm a people person, but I love my privacy too. Does touring leave you any free time to yourselves?

6. Do bands like Brit Floyd own their stage equipment or do you bands rent lighting and P.A. equipment?

7. Any funny stories from being on stage?

8. How big of a crew does it take to keep Brit Floyd on the road?

9. Is there any chance of the band doing another DVD (blueray maybe?) of the 2013 show or of other songs NOT included on the 2011 Liverpool DVD? Note: I would buy it in a heartbeat!

10. I heard where Rod Stewart is an avid model railroader and works on them on tour. What kind of cool hobbies do the members of Brit Floyd have?

Thanks for your time. Brit Floyd has become my favorite band... rock on dudes!]]>

Subject: Asheville, US Cellular Arena April 18, 2013 - by: KRNoftle http://www.britfloyd.com/forum/4-brit-floyd-concerts/2952-asheville-us-cellular-arena-april-18-2013#2952 http://www.britfloyd.com/forum/4-brit-floyd-concerts/2952-asheville-us-cellular-arena-april-18-2013#2952 We were really excited when the Durham concert day finally arrived. We were not disappointed! We had seats in the lower balcony near the middle. We have seen many rock legends perform through the years, and this concert was every bit as good as any of them. The musicians are flawless, absolutely perfect. And they make it look effortless. Seeing it live, with the unbelievable light show was a spectacular experience! Our 25 year old son, who also loves classic rock, was completely blown away by the performance as well. Even though we had to drive two hours to get home after the concert, and didn't get much sleep for work the next day, it didn't matter. We rocked out to the CD in the car all the way home.
It was a real joy to finally have the actual DVD that we could watch instead of the partial concert we had been watching from the recording. Monday and Tuesday after the concert, while listening to it at work, the idea of going to Asheville on Thursday began to seem more and more like a great idea. So we bought tickets, left work early and drove over two hours to get there. When we arrived in Asheville, it was a lot like a high school gym. We were in the center, on the fifth row of the first risers, which put us behind the sound boards, level with the stage. What a great place to be for this amazing performance! The crowd, though smaller than it should have been, was very enthusiastic from the beginning. (The crowd in Durham was a bit more subdued overall.) It was even better this time because we knew how great it was going to be. All of the band members were in perfect form again, and hopefully they felt appreciated because the crowd was loving every minute of it. It is hard to describe how awesome this concert experience is unless you have been to it. The musical perfection, combined with the visual effects, is a rare experience. It is amazing how perfectly synchronized the whole thing is, and they never miss a beat. All in all, it was one of the best concerts we have ever witnessed-both nights!
We sincerely hope that Brit Floyd will continue touring and will always come back to NC to as many venues as they can. We had two nights with only 4 hours of sleep on a work night in the same week, and it was totally worth it. If we weren't responsible adults with jobs, etc. it would be really tempting to just pack up and follow them around the country. We were disappointed to see the empty seats in both arenas, and felt like a concert of this caliber should be playing to packed houses. We both have backgrounds in marketing and believe that they need to do more aggressive promotions to get the word out. We wouldn't have known about them if we hadn't stumbled across it on TV. They weren't on our Ticketmaster alert list because we didn't know they existed. Before this, we never realized that a tribute band could be so awesome. We have several DVD's of David Gilmour performing the same songs and we like Damien's performance better. No one can replace Gilmour and Waters and the rest, especially since they wrote the material, but no one plays it better than Brit Floyd. It is truly a joy to witness a show with such attention to detail and musical talent. You simply could not improve on it regardless of the venue. We hope that word will spread and they will come back in the not too distant future, with a more aggressive promotional campaign. They go to such lengths for Pink Floyd perfection, they deserve to play to packed arenas. They seriously do justice to a legendary band.
To all the band members, you have made a lasting impression on our family, and know that while you are touring around the world, we are here in NC enjoying your performance on DVD and CD regularly. Please consider releasing the entire Liverpool concert on a CD and DVD that we can purchase so we can have all the rest of the songs. Would love to see your stuff on Amazon because YOU ARE THE BEST! Come back soon, can't wait to see you again! Rock On!
PS Would also LOVE TO SEE THE CLASSIC ROCK SHOW IN NC!]]>

We're wandering aimlessly, searching for the nearest food joint on our phones, and came across what appeared to be a couple doing the same thing. And by couple, I mean a guy, and a gal, walking together. Whether married, or just friends or acquaintances, I have no idea. It's not like I as strangers those types of questions.

We struck up some conversation, and talked small talk, including my families love of Pink Floyd (I brainwashed my boys), and of our interest to see Brit Floyd for the first time. We all walked to a local establishment nearby, and went our separate ways, although sitting in close proximity. The "guy" had a look of familiarity to me, but I didn't think anything of it. I mean really, how many people does one see in life where they think they recognize someone, then simply move on?

Anyway, later in the evening, my younger son tells me that while we were walking, the woman (blond, and friendly enough) told him that she pointed to the guy and told him he was part of the band. I asked him twice if he was sure, and he was annoyed that I did so. Then it occurred to me - could it have been Ian? I mean, I guess the guy sort of looked like videos I've seen of him, but I wasn't really staring him down or anything - why would I. So, is there any way to find out? And if so, give him a hello, and the message that we were all indeed incredibly impressed with the show. And if it wasn't him, or someone else involved with the band, then I don't know what to think. I don't think my son would have made up that story - he just doesn't do that. Luckily, I don't think any of us made an ass out of ourselves, one way or the other.

In any event, GREAT, GREAT Show. Jake's favorite song was Take it Back, and Aaron's was Comfortably Numb. Good boys. Thanks for coming to Reading, PA!]]>

We sat in row B, middle of the house – ideal seats for a great view of these very talented musicians. My only complaint, and it is a big one, was the mix was horrendous. DPAC is a new theater that was designed with acoustics in mind and after seeing about 15 shows there over the last two years, I am confident that the sound can be and usually is great in this venue. Iain Anderson was here 6 months ago performing Thick as a Brick and that was a perfect mix from a similar part of the house. The biggest issue with the mix at the Brit Floyd show was the bass guitar was way too loud and excessively boomy in the lower register. There was no nuance to the sound, no sense of tonal variation and amazingly it drowned out guitars and drums (cymbals seemed as if they were barely miked at all) much of the time. We had hoped that this aberration would improve as the show went on or at least after intermission when concerns were registered, but no luck.

If Brit Floyd comes back to DPAC (and I definitely hope that they do), then I would love to see them again, but I would hope and expect that the sound would be greatly improved. The music and the musicians are far too good for their performance to be marred in this fashion.

Awesome set selection by the way, included the unexpected inclusion of "One of These Days" – RIGHT ON!!

Thank you to Brit Floyd!

My favorite show was the Liacouras Center, Phila being it was the full Pulse Experience...
It was the fist time out of many that I got to see the show this way and it makes an awesome show
even more awesome then I thought possible. I really hope you guys can do that again there next year.
My least favorite show was the show tonight as both me and my sister compared to the other shows we saw her in NYC and me Baltimore/Reading and phila, there was just something aloof about the sound tonight it
never got perfect as it usually does early on then escalates. It is the first time I ever witness this but it was hard to hear Ian at times as a certain frequency seemed to be missing in the upper mid range.
This seemed to occur during louder parts, softer parts were clear. One spot was during Keep talking and Damian's mouth piece either went out or was just hard to hear, unlike last night where it was crystal clear and profoundly perfect. A few others were talking about it and wondered if the sound board being tucked way under the balcony had anything to do with it but in any case it was still a great show. Sorry but this effected the show way too much for me not to mention it, So I really don't think I am nit picking here.I know Madmark was here so maybe he can counter my thoughts...
