Chess Galea is a Maltese singer, artist and songwriter who has lived in London for 12 years, pursuing her passion.
She has reached the number 1 spot on the Singer-Songwriter iTunes Chart as well as the number 1 spot in Malta with her debut single.
Chess has been played on acclaimed local radios such as BBC London, Surrey and Cornwall as well as local London radio stations like ‘Hoxton Radio’ and has been 'track of the week' several times on BBC Introducing South-West, having regular interviews on this show.
In 2020, Chess began working with publishers writing songs for K-pop artists and bands. She also writes toplines for western music. In 2022, Chess was flown to Italy to write for some of the biggest names in Asia. In the western market, her vocals feature on dance tracks from FUSE 'Rich Girl' and Alex Ross 'Give It To Me'.
Recently she has featured as a backing vocalist on Jack Savoretti's number 1 album 'Europiana’. Chess also wrote the lyrics for the ‘Bayonetta 3’ theme song ‘Al Fine’ that also features her vocals. You can hear her on the song ‘Moonlight Serenade’ in the Nintendo Switch game, too. The game won 'Best Action Game' of 2022.
