I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of Blackmore's Night? I've just recently descovered them, and I LOVE it!!!

It is Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) and Candice Night, and his guitar and her voice is just amazing together! It's very "Renaissancey", and mystical, and (not to sound like to much like a geek) that is right up my ally!

I'll add a link to the site so y'all can check it out.

www.blackmoresnight.com/ (not able to add a link at the moment it seems, so you'll have to copy and paste for now I guess)

Let me know what you think, I think some of the people on here might enjoy it. :)

Discovered them about a year ago and now have all their albums. A wonderful mix of hurdy gurdys, fender guitars and a splashing of hey nonny nonny!! Richie still putting together some great rifts and very easy on the ear music.

If this doesn't get your feet tapping nothing will

and on a more genteel level;

Blackmore's Night have been playing around the NYC area for over 10 years, where there is a following, seen them a few times, love them both much and have met them.....They are very very nice people not sure what Nick meant by "bonker's", possibly Ritchies philososphies or something....Have all the albums too....
I believe he started it with his girlfriend.
