I get the impression that the show is proving very popular despite the initial slightly less than packed venues ... This is normal for an untried event .... I saw the first show where the audience certainly made up for this in sheer enthusiasm and I know the word is getting round in advance of the remaining gigs ... I rather hope the event will be an annual one maybe, where the guys can show their talents, let off a bit of steam and encourage a wider audience who may be a little indifferent to merely a Floyd show ....
That being the case, who knows .... Maybe some overseas dates would be possible and maybe they could include Atlanta etc.
You may one day get your wish WW .... who knows ???

To the best of my understanding, the show was planned and venues booked before the TAPFS/TBPFS split when the whole thing was still under the CMP flag. The band's domain name doesn't have an Aussie connotation; it remains to be seen whether they continue with the name during future tours.

I do think it is unfortunate that fans are discussing the name more than the music, this is an outstanding show whatever the hell they are called.

My assumption would've been that folks remembered that from back when it was first announced and Nick is correct in the timeline of things.

The set list would be hard to top! All I can say is Wish You Were Here... Let's hope the show is successful enough to make its way across the pond!
Thought I'd something more to say...

Sheffield last night was the best yet. A bit of fine tuning to the setlist (Reeling in the Years instead of Haitian Divorce), the band tighter than ever, Arrun twice as heavy and amazing sound from Gareth. New guy on the lights too, much better.
I don't know why, but there it is.

I went to see this show on Sunday at The Cadogan Hall, London.

This was a good, fun show. Some excellent material played by very good musicians (most of whom I had seen before in other bands - Think Floyd, The Spirit of Pink Floyd Show, The Australian Pink Floyd Show and in the case of Howie, guesting with Acoustic Unlimited). By definition I had only seen Howie playing acoustic guitar before (on my sojourns up the The Jolly Tar) and I knew he was good, but seeing him play electric guitar was the highlight of the evening for me. He made the Dire Straits set his own - amazing. There is only one more date for this show on the current tour, but if they go again in the future, and they have the same band members, I would recommend going to see them.
